Whitening

We are proud to offer two different options for patients interested in whitening their teeth.  Opal essence and in office whitening. 

Bonding

Bonding is a composite resin placed on teeth.  It will lighten any stains you may have, close up minor gaps and can be used to correct crooked teeth. Bonding will cover any natural flaws applying a thin coating of a plastic material on the front surface of your teeth. After this, Dr. Dexter will apply a bonding material and sculpt, color and shape it to provide a pleasing result. A high-intensity light then hardens the plastic, and the surface is finely polished.

Veneers

Dental veneers are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length.

Veneers are routinely used to fix teeth that are:

• Discolored - either because of root canal treatment; stains from tetracycline or other drugs, excessive fluoride or other causes; or the presence of large resin fillings that have discolored the tooth.

• Worn down

• Chipped or broken

• Misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped

• Have gaps between them
